Apples and cars are alike because they both rust. This happens because the oxygen hitting the iron this is called “OXIDATION.” What happens is the oxygen takes some of the iron causing the car and the apple to rust.

Oxidation is the chemical reaction that happens when oxygen reacts to different materials. A car oxides when the iron is exposed to oxygen and water. After a while oxygen will steal electrons to form something called iron oxide. We realize that this is happening when we start to see rust forming on the car. For a fruit (such as an apple) oxidation happens because of an enzyme called Polyphenol Oxidase or PPO. When PPO is exposed to oxygen and the iron that’s inside of the fruit, it causes a reaction. We see this reaction when we see the fruit turning brown. This is how Cars and Apples are similar πŸ™‚

Oxidation is the chemical reaction that causes rust and makes apples go brown. On cars rust takes longer to appear but if you leave an apple or a banana or a pear for a few minuets it will start to go brown. When oxidation happens to a car the iron or other materials are exposed to water and oxygen. When oxidation happens to a fruit such as an apple it is because the oxygen steals electrons from the iron oxide that is in fruit.

Apples turn brown when its skin is broken and the inside is exposed. This is called oxidation. This happens (on a car) when iron, water and oxygen have all met at once. For a apple this happens when PPO (polyphenol oxidase), oxygen and the iron in the fruit come together and
it ‘rusts’. unlike metal (as in getting a testiness shot) it will not harm you. With metal, when metal does rust it weakens and it can somethings snap over weight. An apple does not weaken.

Fun fact: coffee is basically a cup of rust, to make coffee you need to oxidase it.

Apples turning brown is the same to cars rusting.

Apples turning brown and a car rusting is caused by the same thing the cause is oxidation. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that happens when oxygen with different substance. For a car Oxidation happens when the metal in a car is exposed to air and water over time the oxygen will take the electrons from the iron making the car rusty. For a fruit oxidation happens because of an enzyme called polyphenol oxidase when it is exposed to oxygen and the iron from the fruit it has a reaction. When oxidation in in iron and metal it makes the two fall apart.

Apples and cars have something in common, oxidation. Oxidation is a chemical reaction when oxygen reacts with different materials such as the metal in cars and the tissue in fruit.
Oxidation happens to cars when the iron of the car is exposed to Oxygen and water, over time oxygen will steal electrons from the iron to form iron oxide. We notice this when we see the rusty colour on the iron of the car

For fruit oxidation happens because of an enzyme known as PPO when PPO is exposed to oxygen and iron that’s inside the fruit it causes a reaction, which results in the fruit turning brown, but that only happens when the skin/peel of the fruit is broken and/or bruised. That exposes the fruit to oxygen.

Oxidation can be dangerous, it can cause the metal or iron to break, and when it comes to fruit you would not want to eat it because it turned brown, but don’t worry it’s safe to eat.

Apple turn brown the same way that cars rust. This is called Oxidation. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that happens when oxygen mixes with different materials like for the apple when PPO (Polyphenol Oxidase) is exposed to Oxygen the Iron in the apple will cause a reaction. This only happens when the apple is cut or bruised.
Oxidation can be very dangerous, for instance if this reaction happens on a car it may course it to break.
But sometimes Oxidation can be desirable for instance coffee is a form of rust but don’t worry it will not make you sick.

Oxidation is a chemical reaction when oxygen reacts with different materials. Just like the metal in cars or the tissue in apples. When the iron in cars is exposed to oxygen and water this causes iron oxide. This is how cars go rusty. A car going rusty is the same thing an apple going brown.

Apples and cars are alike because they both have rust. This happens because oxygen hits the iron to make it rust that is called oxidation. The oxidation hits the apple and the the car and that makes it rust.

The thing that apples and cars have in common is they both turn brown or rust. With the car it is where the iron on the car is exposed to water and oxygen which causes it to rust and even corrode. With the apple when PPO is exposed to the oxygen and the iron inside the friut causes it to go brown.

Apples turning brown and car rusting is similar to each other because it happens from ‘oxidation!’ Oxidation is a faction that happens when oxygen combines with other substances like an 🍎 When it rusts because the oxygen it has inside it mixes with PPO (Polyphenol Oxidase) the inside of the apple turns into a brown’ish’ yellow’ish’ colour, that is called rust. And a car πŸš— rusts, basically the same thing as an apple. It rusts because the oxygen mixes with the iron on a car which makes it rusty.
Sometimes Oxidation can be desirable for instance, coffee is a form of rust but it doesn’t hurt to drink it. Its still drinkable πŸ˜‰

Apples turn brown the same way that cars rust! This is know as Oxidation.Oxidation is a chemical reaction when oxygen mixes with different materials such as the metal in cars and the tissue in fruit. So for cars Oxidation happens when the iron of the car is exposed to oxygen and water.over time oxygen steals electrons from the iron to form iron oxide

Do you sometimes wonder how an apple turns brown! here’s answers. When you cut an apple in half, it would be brown because the skin is exposed, and this is when Oxidation comes in, because the Oxidation sucks the water, iron.

Oxidation can be dangerous, but when Oxidation does it to fruits, cars and a lot more. When Oxidation reacts with an apple it will corrode.

A car rusting is similar to an apple turning brown. You may think this sounds strange but it’s true. This process is called Oxidation. This is the chemical reaction caused when the oxygen reacts with the metal of cars or the tissue of fruit. Over time oxygen will steal electrons from the iron to form iron oxide. For a fruit like an apple oxidation happens because of an enzyme know as polyphenol oxidase. This is why an apple turning brown is like a car rusting.

An apple turning brown is like a car rusting because of oxidation! Oxidation is a chemical reaction that happens when you mix iron, water and oxygen. The oxygen takes electrons from the iron and makes it visible by an orange-brown reaction we call rust.

For fruit (like apples and pears) we see oxidation when an enzyme called Polyphenol Oxidase (PPO) is exposed to oxygen and iron it will cause a reaction. We see this reaction as the fruit turning brown. But this reaction only happens when the skin is broken or cut.

Oxidation is a pretty dangerous reaction and I wouldn’t suggest touching it to much. But the process of how it happens is pretty cool😊.

Do you ever wonder why apples turn brown and why cars rust?

Well this happens because there is a chemical reaction that hits iron which makes the apple turn brown and the car rust, this is called ”Oxidation.” The Oxidation comes when something has been abandoned for a while, which in this case is the apple turning brown and the old car rusting. Oxidation also can be very dangerous because the old car’s rust can corrode and easily break and you wouldn’t want to drive in that. And with the apple you wouldn’t want to eat a fruit that is turning brown would you?

Did you know apples have something in common with cars? It’s called Oxidation when apples turn brown, same as when cars rust it happens when oxygen, water and iron are exposed together and form Oxidation a brown orange colour called rust.

For apples, oxidation happens when a enzyme called Polyphenol oxidase(PPO) is exposed to the tissue in the fruit and they turn brown. When it comes to metals and iron exposed to iron and oxygen it can be quite dangerous when it corrodes and breaks apart but for apples it”s safe.
